I have a job. I have paid research to do. I have commitments. I have bills to pay and groceries to buy. I am putting myself through college WITHOUT going in to debt.

I have responsibilities.
I am already taking off half a week for Helen's rehab visit so we can all go on a wonderful 'family vacation' to celebrate her not being locked up for a few days.
I am already taking off two full weeks to come be with the family and help with Rachel's wedding.
These are things that I want to do! I am glad that I am taking this time off!

But don't get all pissy with me and upset that I will not stay for another week after the wedding.

ME:
I am an adult.
I am a responsible adult.
I have multiple jobs and commitments and I need to make a balance that fits me.
Let me make my own choices and do NOT second-guess my decisions.

MOM:
(looks like a kicked puppy)
Can I at least give you a hug?
